Before you beat me up too bad-
There were a few Willys in the 60's & early 70's that ran a chopped top & I believe ran the altered cl***. I believe that Mazmanian's Austin ran a chopped top & got bumped from A/Gas to altered.
I have a line on a 41 that has a chop top & I'm thinking it was a former drag car by the conversation w/ owner. Chop was real bad when bought & the chop was re-done a few years ago. Car is all BC/CC now in satin.
So- anyone have pics to share?

    Be kind.

I think you've got the market cornered on pictures of chopped Willys. As a long time Willys owner, I hope the chopped top made it go faster, because from my perspective it didn't do much for the unique looks of the Willys. I always thought that the one of the unique things about a Willys, is that it looked like it was chopped without having to be!
The chop seemed to put the body out of proportion. The early cars (33-36) didn't look too bad, but the turret top cars should have been left alone. By the way, does anyone know if the chop did make any of those drag cars go faster???

    I agree w/ the chop & porportions.
There's a hell of alot of bad ones out there.
    I'm looking to buy a 41 & it's already chopped- years ago.
I'd prefer it wasn't chopped but that's the deal on the table now.
Price is right so if I ever want to own a real Willys- I need to buy it.

Is it the one in Vegas? Lee kay could easily un-chop it and make it right.

I don't dare put up pics before it's a done deal & in my garage.
    Been there & embar***ed before.

    No- it's right here local.

Comes w/ a boatload of extra parts.

It's my dream car & if it has to be chopped (for now), so be it.
