Is there anyone here on the HAMB that makes Pins, as in campaign style election pins? I need them for a rescue effort to save the Crosley on the 301 pole here in Mechanicsville, VA. But I will need a good rate, since I have no donations as of to date for the cause.
The best way to make awareness is to get the community to broadcast it wearing large round pins to SAVE THE 301 POLE CAR. Please email me any info where I can get these.

If you are interested in the cause go to

to read the facts on the rescue of the Crosely on the 301 pole

    Thanks
    Lea

Can't help with the pins, Lea, but I have been giving this effort much thought. Have you contacted in any way (through phone calls or letters) the local newspapers or radio stations there? I fear that this is going to be a mostly gr***roots(i.e. local) exercise in attempting to save the Crosley. I'm sure that folks in California or Alabama or wherever won't be too interested. Just human nature. Garnering support from local merchants and car clubs there in the Hanover/ Henrico counties might prove to be invaluable. Getting the word out to as many folks as possible seems to be the only way to generate the "buzz" needed to save it. I think you will find a lot of folks who aren't necessarily "car people" getting behind the cause simply because they're weary of seeing govt. railroading their agendas through at the expense of tradition. I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't just focus on the various car related forums. Try to get the word out to everybody. Good luck going forward....Don.

  3. Talk to a local craft shop, some places hire out the machine to make your own. We used one at a rod run years ago and it only cost like $60 bucks with the badges. Make up your own design, photocopy it a **** load of times and there you are.
    Doc.

Thanks Doc, I'll look into that.
Lothiandon1940 ... You are right on the money with your thoughts, we have tons of ground work going on locally. The community is not happy, so that is positive. I believe we will win without too much feedback from the county, but I will need the local support to do it,so far it is looking good.
I have posted the plea on the Virginia Hambers Social group, and we do have som e locals on there!
I just want to get the whole damn area to know this is happening, and thought the pins were a good idea, I also would like yard signs, like the political folks do. Printing can be expensive so any ideas or advise that can be given I AM ALL ears!
