US Radiator does a great job, economical and they bolt-in. Have one in my 53 with an Ardun and never get over 170 in hot weather.

do you guys have any pics of the radiator installed with a sbf. I'm converting a 53 merc from the flathead that wasn't in the car when i got it to a 302. I used the butches cool stuff mounts and all that, but because there was no rad or engine in the car when i got it, i have no idea where the fan is going to line up on the rad. It's hot down here in southeast Texas and the radiator has to be right.

Have you looked at Champion radiators? I got one for my engine swap. You can request US made and there prices are real reasonable.

I was originally using one of the Genesis radiators in the FAQ but ran into an issue with the ports sizes being too small for my water pump and having to sleeve hoses to get to the correct sizes. This created a flow restriction and the car ran a little hotter then we wanted. My dad found this radiator online with the correct port sizes and locations.

It is a hair taller than the Genesis radiator but fits just the same everywhere else. Car seems to run cooler with the correct sized ports now.

    This is the Genesis radiator:

And the new one from Radiator Express. There are a few more pictures in my album as well.

I have a Walker Radiator in my wagon with a 302 and 5 speed transmission.

I know they are expensive but they are worry free, that's not to say any of the others mention are not up to the task.I just prefer the copper/br*** radiators.

I've used a lot of radiators over the last 50 years of building hot rods and I'm sold on the Walker quality, the 10 year warranty doesn't hurt ether.

The one in my Deuce sedan is almost 20 years old now.

The best part about the Walker Radiator in the wagon is it was FREE!

I won a radiator of my choice from Walker at the NSRA Street Rod Nationals South in Knoxville,Tennessee. :) HRP

I bought a Winner Radiator and decided to use a U.S. Radiator instead. Glad I made that decision. I will sell my Champion to anyone that wants one for a Flathead V8 49-53 It's brand new but painted black.

I put a US radiator in my 64 Fairlane (302 HO, LSC, pretty much stock, 3 speed) and have no cooling problems. This year I went to Ford Carlisle and to get there was in a long line of cars from off the turnpike to the entrance. Needle hardly moved.
