I'm building a "34 pickup with a dropped axle and early '50's pickup shock mounts. Does anyone have a parts store part # for the short rascals?

You need to measure the distance from eye to eye and approximate the amount of bounce up and down you will have. Then take these measurements, plus the eyelet sizes to your parts store and look in their book (not computer). There are hundreds of different combinations available, but probably only a few will work for your car.

I can tell you that you will have a 5/8" eyelet (code L1) on top. But the rest of your measurements will need to be done by you.

On the '32 I just did with a similar setup, I ended up going to an antique shock supplier and he got me some '50 Plymouth (or similar) front shocks. They were the only ones I could find that had the covers, and fit the right measurements.

    Good luck.
