Need Shoebox Pic.'s

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by mytlo56, Dec 2, 2003.

  1. Not the one mentioned, but here's a well known quad-light shoebox from the early eighties.

Here is a pic of Reverend Horton Heat shoebox. On the spam side, it is for sale.

The read quarter windows on the last one looks pretty weird to me. The pic above that one is great, that car is sweet. I think they looks best hardtopped...

Whatever "it" is, this car has "it." Thanks for posting. Very inspirational. What amount would you fellas say they took out of the top on this one, front and back?

I'd say they took a little over "too much" out of the front and back of that one. The ass of that car looks like it's flapping out in the breeze with nothing tieing it into the rest of the car.

yeah, i think that problem with the trunk looking not quite right is usaly due to the car being a coupe when it was started

About a year or so ago someone posted their 49 on here. I downloaded the pictures, but I can't find the damn things now. It was a mild custom. Nosed and shaved, frenched head lights, stock grill/bumpers, mild chop (I'd say about 2 inches), slamed with wide whites and bullet caps. It was the coolest suede baby blue type color, but it had a real light hue to it. Sound familiar to anyone? I'll try and dig up the pictures. Anyway, I've got to know what color he laid down on that thing. If anyone knows what car I'm talking about, or knows the guy, or better yet, knows the color let me know.

She's whacked, that's for sure. I think part of what you might be seing w/ the long ass end is generated by the picture being shot from that angle? Could be wrong...but I like em' severe like that. I don't know how my 6'1 ass would fit in there, but I'd figure it out [IMG]

My car is cut 4 inches at the windsheild.
1 more inch would be the limit but very hard to drive.
The look is killer but not practical.
I`m 5` 10" and find traffic lights a little hard sometimes.
    Keep the pics comin!!
This is Boosters car mine is in the front corner

So here's the question: If one were to find some boat seats or short old Jeep CJ seats & mount them on the floor would it solve the head-to-roof clearance problem? I'm 6'1 and would be screwed if you're 5'10 and are having trouble.

    Where there's a will there's a way, I suppose.

Lowering the seat to the floors gains headroom for you tall guys.
I notched the rear crossmember for future serious lowering.
Also raising the drive shaft tunnel.
Not allowing a bench seat to go much lower.
