Bass, I think you've spent some time looking seriously at shoeboxes. I agree with you that coupes rarely turn out well chopped; 2-doors with the B-pillar raked and the rear quarter window (windwing thing) gone are much better proportioned. As for the rake: it's not real obvious, but shoeboxes taper from front to back. The thickest part of the lower body is the crown of the front fender, and they get slimmer from there back. I think if the front end is a little lower, it levels the fender line and improves the stance a lot. Just my opinion, of course...
