I left Goodguys Lone Star Nationals about 2:30 Saturday. Somewhere between Texas Motor Speedway and Crowley I lost my early '50s Fort Worth Club plaque. The plaque is painted Ford engine blue with polished letters and border. The club name is "Checkers". I have had this plaque hanging on my '51 for nearly 25 years. I was not associated with the club when it existed in the 50's but I have a few friends that were original members. After all these years I have developed a sentimental attachment. If anyone happens to find it I would be willing to buy it back for a reasonable price.
I am no where near there, but maybe someone who was will see this. So back to the top for ya. Good luck Benno
Put a search for club plaques on e-bay- then have it put to e-mail you if any thing comes up. Easy way to monitor for the plaque. I am sure someone can tell you how do do something like this on craigslist also. Hope you recover it. Jim
I'll check through my pictures and see if I have a back view of the car. I don't think I ever took a pic of the plaque by itself.
I know it's not the same as getting YOUR plaque back, but maybe obrain truckers has them or can repop it? If it's not found
Bump to the top. Love your 51, a duplicate of my first car at 16. I always enjoy seeing it at TMS, as I did this year. Boy I hope you find it.
Last bump for me, still checking e**y and craigslist. Kind of a long shot but worth the effort. Thanks for the support. amodel25
