    Hey everyone.

Does anyone have any pics of canvas top sunroofs? I am looking for ideas how to attach the canvas and any other details that need to be addressed. After a year or so of thinking about it I finally went ahead and cut the roof open around the headliner last night on my 58 Chevy truck. I took it for a spin and couldn't be happier! There is actually less wind than having the windows open. The truck has a roll cage and I will be welding the roof to the cage soon.

My thoughts where to attach the canvas top like in the picture below. But I want to see some other options before I start making the top. It dosent really have to be 100% waterproof. Its not a show car and dosent get driven in the rain much.

    Thanks
    Jordon

  2. Dude, you're in Oregon, it rains all the time! I spent a year in Portland, I think we had about 2 weeks total the whole time I was there that didn't rain. Check out http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/sunconkit.html. I have one of there tops in my Mini. Might be more than you want though. The one you posted looks good, or you could attach it like a tonneau cover with snaps. Dean

Perfect suggestion and thanx for the link. That is what I was going to recommend, a sliding roof like an old Citroen 2CV or VW. Certainly not all that traditional (in America) but a solution worth considering. Gary
