When I first got the 63 Galaxie with a 289, this is the first older car I have worked on. In the picture the hose coming from the left comes from the carb, then it went straight to the t valve. The reason why we split was because the car was idling really high, if I remember because we did this last year right before storage. My question is what is wrong or right with the pic and if wrong what do I need to do to fix it. The reason I am posting this is because I am getting alot of oil blow back from the oil breather cap that comes of the motor. Thanks for any help on this issue. Remember this is all new to me and advice would be great, thanks. JIMMY

  2. Jimmy,
More photos would be a big help. Especially the origin of the hose from the carburetor.

You need a pcv valve on the hose from the carb
to the crankcase vent skip the T and rote the
hose from "breather" cap to the aircleaner
