Put a new muffler on my car (still needs a heat shield and/or flat black paint) and need to support the end somehow, the stock setup wont work. Have a band clamp w a good sized bolt so I can attach a bracket to the exhaust end of the muffler and need to fabricate a flexible mount between it and the frame. Did a search here but didn't come up with quite what I'm looking for, am hoping maybe someone has done this before...

You might look at the cloth reinforced rubber "O"s that can sometimes be found or made up, w/a small steel horizontal bkt on the pipe, and one above, going to the frame.(yes you can hide it behind, close to the body) The whole system gains length when heated, so make the mount biased toward the rear, then the heat will grow it into alignment. (and pass by it!)

Thank you both, bought a couple of universal mounts for parts and looked at the Corvette mount, should be able to put something together....
