I've had a set of Chevy exhaust manifolds from off a 1969(I think) C/10 truck for quite a while. Do these curved driver's side exhaust manifolds come standard on all the 1967-1972 model pickups or just on a few years. I've held on to them for 30 years or so thinking I'd need them some day for clearance issues, but it seems Borgensen U-joints have always handled my problems. Just trying to find out what years exactly they came on the V-8 engines. Thanks for any information you can provide.
When I put a small block Chevy in my '38 Ford pickup, I used a right side exhaust manifold off of (as best as I can remember) a '68 Chevy pickup on the driver's side to get the exhaust around the steering box. Actually, I used two p***enger side manifolds to do the swap. I think '67-'72 is the same, somebody correct me if I'm wrong, they were plentiful in the junkyards at the time.
I think Chevy II’s with a V8 had kicked back ram horns. I too used a right side manifold on the left to kick forward around the steering box on a 40 Ford.
looks like you have a pair off a full size car, 65-70 perhaps? The trucks had them angled on both sides, full size cars on one side only. Or maybe you have one manifold from a 1966 truck and the other from a 1967 that's the year they changed. 73 up use the under-the-spark-plug manifolds.
This is the original one off the left side of my 71 GMC that came with a 350. Right side manifold was a smogger manifold that I put on after mine broke.
