.....anybody got a ballpark idea of Model a weight for frame, front and rear axle, fenders, wheels and steering column. I'm just wondering if my homemade utility trailer could handle it if I transported it 260 miles.

I transported an A frame, engine, trans and rear end, plus the radiator, wheels and other****orted stuff 200 miles in a 10 foot stake-side untility trailer. No problems, chassis was propped up over the tailgate.

It'll handle it we hauled a Cuda on one...you want to talk tight!

  6. I'd say the total weight falls between 650 & 750#.

That's erring on the generous side and it could be as low as 550#.

Don't forget to air up the trailer tires - that's probably the biggest cause for trailer problems I know of.
Right behind the bearing bit as mentioned.
