Need some OD info

I have a fried Borg Warner R10 OD Solenoid from a 53 Plymouth and need to find a new one. My old one was a 6 volt but the car is now 12 volts so I would like to get a 12 volt this time around which is where I need some help. I know that several differnt manufacturers solenoids will interchange so it does not have to be a Plymouth solenoid.

Does anyone have a part number for a 12 volt solenoid that would work with my transmission or know the years that Plymouth had a 12 volt version of the OD? I have a local source but he can only look up the solenoids with a part number or by year, make, model so any help anyone can throw my way I and my flathead would appreciate it.

Thanks for the link. They seem to be pretty proud of their solenoids at $265 a pop. Antique Auto here local has them for $80 to $125 but I need to be able to give them a part number or year, make, model as they don't have an interchange list.

 

I have a 'spare' solenoid that I would be happy to see if it fits your OD (I think it's from a nash, but don't quote me on that). PM me, we'll see if we can work it out.

 

When everyone else in the country is out of 12v solenoids.........this guy has em!!!!!!! 260.00 for 12v without a core....200 with a core.....cheaper faster and you have it in three days!!!!!!
