Hello all, I need some advice on some wheels to use on a project '29 Ford woody. What I'm doing is I'm trying to get the car out of a backyard and rolled onto a trailer and then my garage. The tires are all rotten, flat and won't hold air. Its got 16's on it now. What I want to know is if I go to a wrecking yard can I pull some modern wheels off another Ford? And if I can, what model car or truck should i look for. Any help would be great. I'm going to use the 16's but buying tires and tubes right now is not in the plan.

5 x 5.5 is Ford, Dodge & Jeep. Most half ton Ford pickups from about the late 50s on up through the mid 90s run this pattern - it was not used on any modern Ford p***enger cars like the Crown Vic you mentioned. It is also common on 70s and 80s half ton Dodge pickups and most all CJ series Jeeps used it also.

Hey, thanks for the start! The cars in So. Cal so I should be able to come up with something down there. Here I'm having a hard time looking for parts of this vintage. I guess I should see how hard the lug nuts will be to get off.
