Need someone in Houston to cut firewall

Hello:

Can anyone recommend sombody in Houston to cut the transmission tunnel out of my aluminum (flat) firewall?

I need it done ASAP and my buddies shop is way out in New Ulm, trying to save a trip.

Use a jig-saw and do it yourself. Put a layer or two of masking tape on it, mark the line you want and go to it. 14 tooth per inch should work ok. Keep the speed down so you don't clog the blade.

 

Started cutting it w/ jigasaw- started vibrating the workpiece, just didn't seem right.

Maybe I was using the wrong blade?

Thanks for the input, I'm gonna check the blade and give it another shot- any other suggestions would be appreciated (Its 1/8" aluminum.)
