Need source for "large" license plate frame

I went from a "modern" license plate (12" x 6") to an original '38 license plate (13 1/2" x 5 1/2"). Anyone know of a source for a lit plate frame for the larger plate? Can't find any with the searches I'm doing on the net, must be doing something wrong.....again. Thanks

 

Check with Roger at rchaynes@carolina.rr.com he is a big time plate collector / dealer and if he doesn't have one , he will know who does.

 

Most of the frames for the large license plates consisted of sections that telescoped together to accomodate several different sized plates and fit on the edges of the plate.
Before 1957, when the US government made the 6"x12" size mandatory for all states, size and even shape, were different for almost every state.
