Can't you just get a spring the same width difference you plan to narrow the rear end?
Like 4 inches narrower rear and a 4 inch narrower spring.

I'd have to think that it doesn't have a 32 spring or normal replacement for a 32 spring.

It's going to take one of the Deuce brigade to give you the measurements you need to get it right.
I don't know if you can edit the title but you probably should have put "Need 32 Ford rear spring help"

Find a local spring shop. Might have to go to the closest big city. Take your main leaf as an example, and tell them you want the same thing, but X inches narrower.

As you might find out by looking, stock 32 rear springs have a curve top to bottom and front to back. Only 32-34 springs did this, and it will take an experienced shop to make your replacement.

Not sure if you knew, but that car was the subject of quite the thread a while ago. The original builder from way back when is a HAMBer, and some reminiscing was done about the car.

  9. I would leave it the way it is...but I’m weird like that.

I know that’s absolutely no help

We have two spring shops locally and I've had shorter main leafs made for spring packs on a couple occasions. Then just bolt it into my pack. On one occasion my 2nd leaf ended up longer than the new main leaf so I just used my portaband saw to trim length off other spring leaf to make them all fit.
