Hey guys... someone's gotta have an interchange manual.

I need to know what other starters will fit a '56 desoto with a 331 hemi.

    Our starter's tag says:
    Chrysler Corp. # 1527688
    6 volt pos MCH- 6113A
    shift starter 1J112793

    Thanks a ton!

Thanks! You answered my questions guys.

The hemi is a '56, sorry for the confusion, the desoto is another year. That might be what's throwing you off. I don't know if the starter is original to the motor or trans... the club got the car with that motor in it.

But the good thing is that I got 2 starters for it now that will work, no doubts. [IMG]

Justin- just bought 2 off ebay, came as a pair. If for some reason these don't work, I'll let you know. They should since the part numbers match, but you know how ebay can be. [IMG]

Oh, and do you need any spare parts for your flathead? This Thursday I'm gonna start ripping apart that parts car and see what's still good in it.
