my '34 pickup is getting closer. the seat is the rear from a mopar minivan. My beer gut wont fit between the 18 inch steering wheel and the seat. We've already romanced the column mount. what is a traditional wheel that is smaller in Id and won't break the bank? The column is '56 henry F-100.

try the repops-vintique makes a couple, they ARE pricey but worth it for the traditional look with a smaller diameter- I'm pretty sure they make a 40, look in the last couple of issues of rodders journal, I think they had a products spot on them.

56 F100 column uses the standard spline from the 50s-60s. Lots of wheels will bolt up. I'm pretty sure you can still get the Grant adapters for the 3 spoke hot rod wheels of the 60s. This is a Moon wheel in a Deuce P/U with a Grant adapter on an F100 automatic tube and shaft.

Most of the adapters use the same splined hub. For different applications, they supplied a different chrome bell to match the diameter of the turn signal housing.
