I finally got started on the front end of the T. When attaching the radious rods to the batwings I could not get the clevis to align up with the hole on the batwing to get the bolt in. The problem is where they welded the parts of the batwing together. The clevis is hitting the weld. My question is, should I grind down the weld or drill out the hole?

Sorry if this seems stupid to some of you but this is the frst rod of this type I have ever built and I did not grow up with a male influence.
