I need help selecting the correct components for my 29 Tudor. I want to lower it a little and juice the brakes. I have searched the HAMB thoroughly and found a lot of information but am hoping for some more direct answers to my questions. First off, a little about the Tudor. This is bone stock, older restoration. The banger will remain and hopefully be hopped up in the future. I am going for the look that “Chris’s” sedan or “Blackjack21’s” Tudor has. <O I am looking for any recommendations on axles, springs, brakes, wheels, tires. <O What’s the best source for these components? Are there any recommended kits or is better to source everything individually. Some of the restoration vendors are offering juice kits for over $3000.00, that’s seems excessive. Riley looks to have some good stuff. <O I want to keep the suspension looking as stock as possible. Not interested in splitting the wishbones or swapping the rear. <O Please bear with the FNG. We all need to start somewhere and this will be my first HAMB worthy ride. After a liitle more searching i found some more info in Riley, looks like that might be the way to go. Also found some info on Thompson's, they look promising also. Any opinions on wheel and tire sizes?
I had a stock 29 closed cab model A all I did was install juice brakes, matching year spindles, a Superbell dropped axle, a posie style front spring (no reversed eye) and telescopic shocks front and rear. It looked sweet with 16 inch wires all round and drive like a dream. Sorry no pic, lost it last computer breakdown and car got sold.
