I am putting a heavy duty OD trans in my 54 Merc wagon and can't find a source for the trans yoke It is a T85 with R11 tailshaft. 16 spline and 1 3/8 ID. Anybody have 1 laying around?

I have a drive shaft from a 57 standard trans set up . If you can find out if that will work or not , I will be happy to work something out with you for the trans yoke . If it does work I can also do some trades for parts as well . I think they are the same . I was on a T85 trans . Just PM me if you think it will work .

It's raining right now and the drive shaft is on my 50 Ford under a tarp right now . I think I can get to it tomorrow and then will let you know .

Jim don't go to the trouble of taking a drive shaft out, I have a web site I can try.

    Thanks

I will take the d/s out tomorrow afternoon and take a look . It was from a 1957 Ford with a 3 speed trans . I still have the d/s column and peddles . I sold the trans last summer . I am sure it's the same one . I really don't mind !

Save yourself the trouble of trying to find a new one, last year I called every aftermarket yoke manufacturer and every driveshaft shop that I could find on the web and couldn't find one, they have been out of production for a long time. You may find a new one on Ebay that someone had stashed away for years but your going to pay big bucks for it.

If the one that Retro Jim has will fit, grab it.

The yoke will have 16 splines and the outside diameter will measure 1.685

So Mark , you say they aren't around anymore , right ?
So that means the one I have is worth a ****** Fortune Now ! OH boy I am going to be a rich man now !!!!

Of course I am just joking with you ! I wouldn't do that no matter how hard it is to find one . I am always very fair with everyone I deal with .
Now if you have a trans yoke for a 4 speed toploader from a Fe trans , I will trade you for the one I have ! I have a toploader I am going to need one for my g***er build so if you have one I will be happy to trade with you . I haven't checked my trans so I have no idea which one it needs . BUT if you would have you that fits my trans , I would trade you !

If you found a new one, it might be a good idea to let folks know the source just in case somebody else might need one sometime.
