I'm going to be getting into the frame portion of my 65 GTO Gasser soon and the front end is unknown territory for me. Any pictures you guys might have of your gasser front suspnesions would be real helpful. Post them here if you could and email me any that are too big for posting @ philupton@earthlink.net Thanks!
You can check out my buddies build on our clubs website: http://www.rebelrodscarclub.com/members/lonniecobb/55straightaxle.htm Or my build of my '56: http://www.blackandbrew.com/stuff/mycars/my56/56gasser.htm
Thanks! Will do. Wow! Just checked them both out and they're just what I needed to see! I'm using a 54 Chevy pickup front axle just like you guys did. I was going to try and use the existing front frame rails but after seeing both your cars with the custom front section I may go that route too. I'm not thrilled about keeping my front crossmember seeing as how I'm probably going to set the engine back a few inches too. It'll be in the way. Got me thinking Cadguy.
No problem, just PM me if you have any questions. We have a third in our club and he's the fabricator that did the work and if I don't have the answer I can give him a call.
