Guys, I need your prayers today. My wife took a fall of a horse today and is in ICU with a brain bleed, fairly stable but out of her mind right now. So if you're a praying kinda person remember my Denise today and if you're up to it plug her into any prayer circle you participate in. Thanks, Zapato Quick update, cat scan this morning canceled out yesterdays brain bleed, she's still in bad shape and in a scary way. They're figuring a major concussion. Keep praying and thank you all. ******** Ok! just got home a few minutes ago and watered all her flowers. For a while there we thought she would be moved out of ICU and into a neuro unit a couple of new hitches kept her there. She's still deep in the woods her speech is a lot more understandable but nothing she's saying is at this time relevant just ramblings. Once again thanks to all of you it helps to know others are watching our backs at this time. Anyway I'm beat will try and sleep thru the night and then go and relieve my daughter. ********* Wow! what a difference one day made. Today I went to work for the first time since the accident waiting to visit after work. Denise recognized me as soon as I came in. Went over and held her hand and she pulled me down for a hug and then kissed my forehead. As the evening progressed she was a lot more animated and at one point actually took time to introduce my sister and brother in law to one of the staff chaplains that had stopped by. Believe me she's still a long ways from alright and these are just baby steps, but I'll take everyone that she takes. And talking about steps they got her out of bed today and with ***ist was able to stand up and bear weight, tomorrow they'll see if she can take a step. Anyway keep "talking with Jesus" its working the miracle is unfolding daily right in front of me. Well thing I'll celebrate with a root beer float tonight. Zap ******************** Sat August 30 Again things are improving, she's become quite chatty of course some of it is just rambling but its good to hear her talking and actually putting sentences together and most of them are making sense. A few odd things get thrown out which are also at times quite bawdy and amusing. called her a little while ago and we talked about finishing out a new flower bed we have been planning for sometime and she was spot perfect on that subject. Yesterday she finally started using her right arm and actually managed with much effort to feed herself dinner. so if all goes well thru the weekend she'll transfer to the ReHab unit where she'll get quite a workout and then after a month or so finally get to come home. So keep "talking to Jesus" and I'll keep updating you all as the miracle unfolds right in front of my eyes. THANKS! Zap
Late Night for me doing work for the local Fire Board. Not at all a Church type, but deeply intuitive to the higher good & presence. Hope your wife has a complete & quick recovery.
You and Denise are in my prayers. The rest is up to faith....Put it in God's hands....He's there for those who seek Him!
Wow, sorry to hear that, Zapato. Karen and I will keep her in our thoughts as we wish her a speedy recovery.
Oh man, I hate to hear this. You, Denise and your daughter were so generous to Ken (Slick50) and I when we visited you years ago and you louvered our Slick50 license plate for us. Let us know when Denise is moved out of ICU we will send flowers. Our prayers are with you and your family.
There's a lot of power in prayer. (Actually from this group it's horsepower!) Wishing her a speedy recovery!! -Jeff
