Zapato, Our family will pray for wife and her situation. I pray God continues strengthening you and your wife and draws you closer to each other and him. It is great to read all the progress she has made thru the last several weeks. Please continue to update us and we will continue our prayers. Grandet23
That is wonderful, being a dog lover myself I'm sure that the visit with Lola was a wonderful treat. I'm sure the Lola loved it too for she was probably wondering where she was.
My wife has very poor balance and stability walking from multiple issues. We found the junior ***istant dog (A CHIHUAHUA, of all things!!) was a great help in walking outdoors. Chihuahuas are normally all over the place at 78 RPM, but with her, he always put a slight stabilizing pull on the leash and went as straight as an arrow down the exact center of the sidewalk!
A tech help, maybe...we bought a Hugo or maybe Ugo walker (will check that) online. It has bigger than usual wheels, making it less prone to trouble from lumps and crevices, and most important good squeeze-grip brakes, which make it easy to lock up when a stable platform is needed to stop a stumble. Also functions as a chair and to carry minor stuff...load it with some weight to add heft if falling backward is a problem.
Ok! its me and the news is all good this time. As it stands now Denise comes home in 10 days. She's really progressing quite well and while she's not perfect and will need a lot of therapy its a great next step. And not only that she'll get a day p*** Saturday and will be leaving the hospital saturday for a few hours. With a few restrictions so as not to cause any setbacks. Anyway life is getting better each day and it couldn't have been done without your prayers and support. thanks again........
thats good news man...i have a piece of advise for you and her..never stop therapy from 1st hand ..never stop..not even for a week or 3 days...aleast for the 6 months to a year...6 months she will do the most gaining...push her to exercise she will thank you later trust me..im not sure if you know what happened to me but search my name..Eddie Pritchard or slamdpup you can read about it..but you have to push her even when she dont want to...i can not stress this enough..repi***ion is the key..also have you heard of HYPERBARIC THERAPY..i havent had it done it but im gonna try to push my neuro for a referral to get it...i hear its the best thing a stroke patient or brain injury person can get.....also if she has a speech problem ..google ''elvis was my speech the******'' buy the book ...well good luck to you both..shes in my prayers..remember push,PUSH,push,PUSH ..
Same here bro. We will continue to pray till she is fully recovered. You and your duaghter included. stay strong.
Zap, Glad to hear the good news. Thanks for updating on the first post, it helps to keep track of what you've got to say about your bride. Keep at it and all will be well. Still in our prayers.
Another quick update, Denise continues to improve at an increasing miraculous rate. Her doctors and rehab techs etc...... are truly amazed and pleased at her recovery. I will be bringing her home Friday and while she will still need some outpatient therapy no home health care will be required. She won't be driving or riding horses for awhile but will slowly be adding more activities into her daily routine. talked with her a few minutes ago and she was excited because she and one of her rehab techs had walked down the street to Starbucks and returned carrying back coffees for herself and others. Its been an incredible 5 weeks and was great knowing how many of you guys had my back. Thanks, the journey continues so please keep talking with Jesus.
Good to hear she's doing better, that sounds scary as ****.. I'm not much of a prayer, but she'll be in mine.
Great! hey, there's no turning back now. glad to hear and will keep pulling/praying for you and your family. Ken
