It's made for vdo size gauges.
But they are very high cost.
Would like to try n fit more affordable smaller size sw or other brand. Into this dash panel.

No collars the vdo gauges are smaller dia.
And mount in from the back and register into pockets, and retain with a special plate set up,
The pocket needs to be carefully milled to fit bigger gauges carefully and rethinking the mounting llate.sooo

You are making no sense at all. Take your gaggle of mis-matched parts to a machinist. Happy Easter.

Yep, either take it to a machinist or use a die grinder and some sharp bits, and finish up with a sanding roll.

  8. I used one of Drake's alum dash panel in my 40 Ford. It called for VDO which I do not like. SW Wings
would not back mount due to larger bezel but the vintage style Auto meter gauges back mounted just perfect.
It gave me the look I wanted. They have vintage style needles & face comes in black or white. The bezel is small and rounded and fit into the panel like the VDO . Check them out . Jerry Drye from NC

I didn't have any trouble using some Auto Meter gauges in Drakes 40 insert

I just learned something, thanks for letting me know! I didn't have a clue that i was wealthy. I just used VDO without even knowing my socioeconomic status.

This is installed, look up Autometer #1601.

  16. I believe the one I use were called Autometer Old -Tyme Black. Look in Speedway catalog, they
have a pic of Old-Time white & Antique Beige. Did not see the Black ones that I have. They
look similar to ones catdad49 has on his avatar. Jerry from N C
