Hello i recently just bought a 53 chevy 2dr hardtop im trying to find some missing interior peices and i cant find any info on what i im looking for.... im looking for a dash mirror or dash mirror bracket my dash has holes for a mirror i think and have seen other cars have them mounted were my holes are did they have them on the dash and upper?
Some of the Chrysler product cars in the 50s had a mirror on the dash,as did some Corvettes. But I had a 54 Chevy and it had the mirror up at the top.Maybe someone had a tachometer mounted on the dash,it used to be common practice.
LOL Don't use your gender as a crutch! Anyhow, isn't there a clock option on the top of the dash, or am I thinking the wrong year? The trim for the side windows on the inside is called garnish moulding. I think chev's of the 40's has em.
You might try All American Classics in Vancouver, Wa. 360-254-8850. They have a lot of early chev parts ,used, n.o.s. and repro. Ask for Todd
national Chevy association might have them copy and paste this in your browser nationalchevyassoc.com good luck
You can check out the Car and Truck shop web site. They are located in Orange,CA and have a huge selection of parts for Chevy cars and Trucks.
I believe Chev's of the Forties caries them in stock, brand new, no pitting. You might try them or post a wanted ad here. Also, chevybombs.com may be of some assistance to you. Bomb guys know a lot about those bulbous old Chebies.
My wife's '51 Chevy hard top had a dash-mounted mirror, but the center windshield post looked like it was drilled to accept one, too. You might try the aftermarket vendors for a mirror... like Filling Station, Chevs of the 40s, Car & Truck Shop, Obsolete Chevy, and Ecklers.
Is no one here familiar with The Filling Station in Lebanon, Or? Reproduction parts for 1916-64 Chevrolets and 1918-87 Chevrolet & GMC trucks. Have a reproduction mirror head but no arm.
The Car Shop in the City of Orange caries parts for '49 and later Chevrolets. That would also be a good source for other stuff. I just recently picked up a stainless window molding clip from them. That small crap is hard as hell to find.
