Let's see some pics of your custom nerf bars or bumpers.

I saw a pic once of a used car lot in LA, circa 1950 with a Duece roadster that had a full bumper...it looked pretty cool!

Attached are my Nerf bars and Front bumper of my Track T. I just got them back from Chrome Plating but have not had the time to take new pictures.

I removed the bumpers and took the guards off and mounted them as "Henrys original Nerf Bars"..

I'm getting ready to fab up some nerf bars for my 34 Dodge. Anyone else have any pics? I'd love to get some ideas.

From the fifties, I reckon, they're heavy as heck.

I used to own the bars on Nads car, and can confirm they came off an original 50's rod. The real deal. Were on a late 30's GM (Olds?) with a fully chromed suspension, show-car style.

Cool, I'd forgotten that, I got 'em from Anitbilly. They're still on there, they need rechroming though, one day.

  23. I love this car, I remember a thread with the whole article about it somewhere around here. I remember it was from Houston, too. Anyone got a link to the thread?

OK, so I gotta ask the question, where did the word "nerf" come from?

[IMG]These were built by Dave Gail (Just a Hobby) and are original to the car, which he also built (amazing set of deuce rails on this thing).
