Ryan, your thoughts on color made me think of the Nethercutt's 52 Olds . These pictures are from 1953 when the car was completed. Looks good in Copper and Gold.

Thanks for posting those great color pics ! I like the Jack Nethercutt Olds too, just needs a change in altitude. Also like the colors but the 3-tone version of the Ernst and/or Ashley Chevy are too much for me.

Does anyone know who did the chop on that? I love it - Beautiful!

Look how thin the profile of the front of the roof is and how nice all the shapes are together - and that big curved back glass laid down so perfectly.

I don't think I've ever seen this car before. Does it still exist?

And I agree....the colors are great

Yes,lurker mick is of course right.Jack Nethercutt was only 16 years old when when the Barris' Bros started to build the "Goldsmobile" which real name was "Viennese".You can see and read more about the '52 Olds in the Barris Custom books and I'm sure Rikster also has pics on his site.Cool car,no doubt.

I used to see the Nethercutt Olds driving around in Brentwood (WLA) when I was a kid -- circa '54. I remember that I thought it was cool; I didn't remember that it sat so tall on its wheels. The frenched parking lights are a unique detail.

I'm guessing that this car must have belonged to Jack Jr., who also did a stint in sports car construction and racing in the early mid 60s. Jack Sr., he of the Merle Norman company and classic car collection, died a few years ago and had to be too old to have owned this car.

Wow....this is a DeLuxe! These are 10 inches longer from the rear window back than the standard coupe is. I don't see many of these. Thanks for posting the pics.

BTW....here's mine (minus the skirts I recently found for it)
