Today I covered the little trim panels for the C and D pillars of the ‘52 DeSoto wagon, and even found and installed the dome/cargo lights I’d had for it. Procrastinate, moi? Oh, I also discovered the Samsonite suitcases cases tuck tightly between the wheel wells. So now they won’t be falling over every time we go around a corner…
Your DeSoto wagon and '29 A roadster with the hemi are two of my favorites on the HAMB. Attention to detail raises these two high above the crowd in my opinion. The Sampsonite fit leads me to believe somebody, at some point, actually designed something to work well with the thing it was likely to encounter.
Thanks, you're too kind. I'm getting itchy to get back down to the roadster! Edit: The inspiration to get this done (there are a couple more little items to address as well) is that we're doing a trip next year for the 100th Anniversary of Rt. 66 to Amarillo TX, towing the Spartan trailer. We're hitting the road with several of our vintage trailer owning friends, caravanning down for that town's celebration. Should be fun, we haven't done a serious road trip with this car towing the trailer, I wanted (well, my wife wanted...) some of these things tidied up. She's not wrong...
