new 2 hamb from LA need help on starting my first project

hey im juss about 18 my names francisco im from LA the harbor area i recently bought a 1950 oldsmobile 88 2 door fast back only the shell no engine/interior just a pretty good body and rebuilt chasis botom pretty good




havent started on it bcuz of unemployment recently got a job any tips on were 2 start 1st project ever

Put a running gear in the old girl and drive it while you work on the interior etc. enjoy the car as you learn the hobby of restoration, hot rodding. The best thing you can do is take it SLOW! That is a perfect car to start with, and rare as well, you'll be amazed how many people will compliment you on your ride, young and old. great car. don't see many of those fast back oldsmobiles. nice to see one is going to be back on the road.

 

I always liked those Olds. My friend back in 57 had a 49 with 56 engine with Engle cam and Hilborn injection. He drove it to the drag strip and to work. Find a 324 Olds. mill they run real good. Keep us posted on your progress.

hahaah exactly wut im gonna do!im trying hit the streets asap i m trying to see the best deal i can get to getting it running as for the body work its mostly gonna be done by me and my neighbors gonna help/teach me hes got a 50 mercury ill keep you all posted
