i just got my rough as hell 40 deluxe coupe home yesterday, i had a quick look at the trunk lid as i loaded the car,and it looked not to bad on the outside aside from one dent. once i got the car unloaded and started to clean all the **** outa it i had a better look at the under side of the trunk lid and its rusted thru on the inner stucture in several spots-****. does anyone now who makes a decent repop, preferably of steel? any help is greatly appreaciated
I don't think anyone repros them in steel and be prepared to pay big bucks for a nice used or NOS piece if you can even find one. I think Wescott may do a fibergl*** reproduction. Good luck, Don.
yeah i looked at the wescots gl*** one- 1300 bucks!- i think ill be tryin to save by old one long before i spend that much on fibergl***
i don't believe anyone makes a steel one...so you need to fix the one you have , or find a better original. decent originals don't come cheap either
theres a co in Arkansas? or maybe kansas that makes a repro innner structure.. but I think it was 800+??? I have one spare thats NOT dented, but most of the inner structure is gone.
