Projects New 46 chevy pu project

I finally found a cool project to work on. It is a 46 chevy pu. It has a 69 camaro subframe with a 2 x 3 frame for the rest of the chassis. Here are some pictures of the truck from the previous owner.

Nice truck, looks to have a 2 1/2 ton front end on it.

 

Motor mount on the passenger side. It was my first time welding. Still need to clean up and paint.

 

Front end back on to check clearance for radiator.

 

It has been awhile since I last posted. Cab and front end is at a friends shop and I am pleased with the results so far.

 

Good progress. I agree your front fenders have the larger radius as used on the big trucks. Cab is same as the 1/2 tons.

 

Making progress. Hope to have the motor in and cab mounted in the next couple of weeks

 

Motor is now in and the cab and front end mounted. Slow but sure on the progress.

 

Truck is now on the road. 5800 trouble free miles since October. Still more to do but having fun driving it while working on it.

 

What is that fulton visor off of?

 

Not sure on the visor. It was bought at a local swap meet.
