Hey fellas. Just wanted to drop in and say what is up! Been tooling on a newly aqcuired '54 5 window. Just got her home recently. Planning on C-Notching and 4 Linkin' the rear end. Got her without a rear end so I temporarily wired up a '70 Camaro 10 bolt and threw on some tires so that I can roll it around. Got the bed, fenders, hood, grill and cab off today so that I can get the frame into my garage and start the cleaning and cutting. I've seen some pretty fantastic build threads at (I think) 67-70trucks.com (???) with a really cool 55/58 Truck and also a 54 truck where the dude ran out of money and had to holdfast on it. These builds were awesome to say the least. My plan is to spend about a 100th of what these guys did and just run it. I'm not into paint or anything really "blingish"...just wanna run it low. Are there any other threads here on the HAMB with some 47-55 trucks like mine?? I'd really like to see some stuff on C Notching and perhaps front Camaro Clips and MII IFS's as well since it seems like they are the "way to go.." Welcome to the Hamb Ivan... Sounds like you have a good project started. I put a fatmans mustang II front end under a 48 ford pickup 15 years ago and its still low and going strong today....
Righteous!! I actually live in Rio Rancho myself (528 and Idalia). Most of the time when I tell people that, the response is...Rancho Where?? Cucamonga? California you mean?? lol. Would like to meet ya one day so you can look over what I got here. I'm barely walkin on it now and with work and the weather, I"ll be having a go of it getting it into the garage for the Winter.
