Last weekend I saw my friends '46 Ford for the first time since he has finished it (for the third time since I have known him). He made his air cleaner cover out of fiberglass and some extra inner fender covers. Take a look. . .
I laughed when he told me "I'm not much into detail. I'm more for covering things up." He and I go back and forth because he is very artistic (as you can see), but he still hasn't built a battery tie-down, and I've known him 12 years. It' in the trunk, so he uses a block of wood and a bungie. What's up with that?
I'm betting the guys that loved the "patinized" F-1 will hate this and the guys that hated the F-1 will love this. I personally love the workmanship but I want people to see my carbs. Don't take offense. like I said beautiful work.
Hey Tommy, i actually like both. My tastes are open to everything. Everything except stupid stuff. Umm, well that didnt make sense but i like both the cover and the F-1
[ QUOTE ] I think those covers like that are really awesome! I hope you know that it's a street rod thing that these traditionalists wont understand. Im into Street Rods so i think it is awesome. [/ QUOTE ] " wont understand ". . . ? Retard .
[ QUOTE ] I hope you know that it's a street rod thing that these traditionalists wont understand. [/ QUOTE ] It's not a matter of not understanding ASSHOLE.......it's just that this is a forum for "Traditional Rods & Kustoms" Obviously, YOU don't understand this?? I like the craftsmanship, but it isn't what this place is all about. If you can't understand and respect that, play somewhere else.........
Man, im sorry, i was only kidding around. Please forgive me for saying that. I didnt mean to offend anybody.
[ QUOTE ] Man, im sorry, i was only kidding around. Please forgive me for saying that. I didnt mean to offend anybody. [/ QUOTE ] dont sweat it man , just dont " take sides " like that . Not the best way to make friends or even a point Honestly I like pretty much every aspect of what you could do to a car all the way from turbo supras , 8 second civics , hydro lowriders , minitrucks , street rods ( not much really ) but you get the picture . I can pretty much appriciate any type of craftsmanship , except bad craftsmanship .
i can see the point of ppl saying the hood under the hood coment, i poped the hood on afew cars and was like wtf is this another hood? but........... thoe were full motor covers and yeah you see them on street rods but realy how much bigger or smaller is that then a caddy air cleaner??? not much thats how much, lol the only thing is its shaped a bit differnt and HE MADE IT HIMSELF looks good to me tim
Is it an air cleaner or an air cleaner cover? Your right, I wouldn't understand an air cleaner cover...pointless and nonfunctional.
