  4. I'm just up the road in Greenville. New Bern is a real nice place, lots of history (first capital of NC), Bavarian heritage, close to the beach, convenient to other parts of the state. Jacksonville has a small traditional rod/custom scene, as does Wilmington just over an hour south.

    I'm a museum geek. can't go wrong with Tryon Palace. Also home to Pepsi cola and if you have kids a great ice cream shop in the downton area--don't remember what its called, but cow themed. lots of great resaurants and shops. nice lttle town (interviewed for a job there once) don't know about the car scene

    Lived there a few years, just visited there last week:) Cool place, like posted, Wilmington / Jacksonville have more of a car scene.

    Small town, good beach stuff.

    i did some work in New Bern a while back. installed the kitchen in the convention center. i seem to remember that they rolled up the sidewalks at 5 PM but it was a pretty town.

    Thanks Everyone for the info. I will be going up on July 4th weekend to check out some of the building I found for rent.

    I live in Blounts Creek about 30 mins north of new bern I did not know someone from the hamb lived in grantsboro Cool!!!! Not a lot to do around this area but I still love where I live!!!!

    Hell yea man, I know of a guy in Greenville thats on here, two or three in New Bern and thats about it.

    66 F100 thats im trying to keep as a daily driver. A ford falcon that misses the year cut off on here but I like it. A 78 Harley, and a fridge full of beer.

    Im messin around with a 26 t coupe and a 72 dodge dart when not working or spending time with the family. Ive got a 76 harley that I haven't ridden in a long time.

    If your ever in the area swing out man. Right now the Marine Corps has got me pretty busy, im leaving for CA in a few days and then deploying in October, but if your in the area just let me know.
