What is that hole in the middle of the top, wiper? My 38 IHC truck only came with one wiper. And what are you thinking for the hood, butterfly or one piece tilt up? I'll bet your right it'll sure be an attention getter. Nice looking work keep it up.

Kinda wondered what that hole was for, it has wipers below the windshield so thats not it.
One piece lift off hood is planned

I like it because you are doing what you want regardless of alot of our opinions, I think it will be cool when done

While it's not exactly the way I would have built it, it is turning out pretty cool.
One thing I love about "the old days" (and this build) is there were fewer rules. A builder could be innovative without a bunch of strangers sitting around telling him he is doing it wrong. The catch phrase here is so often "it's not traditional" but, back then guys were building hot rods and customs in their garages without the help of the Internet and 27 different car magazines on every newsstand telling them "this is how it is supposed to be." They were innovative. Someone had to be the first. I wonder how often George Barris was told "you're doing it wrong"? Did anyone ever tell Von Dutch "that's not traditional"? Gene Winfield's first fade paintjob wasn't the normal way of painting cars at the time. As I said in the beginning, I would have built it a little different but, it's not my car. I still think it's turning out pretty cool!!!

Rolled frankenstine out for the 1st time yesterday and spent the day cleaning up the shop (hellova mess)
The buick is now a roller and has the correct blower/carbs on it. This is the way it will stay. Time to get the new pistons in the motor and get this project running. Its been a long winter................
