i picked up the body last week. i was told it is a very close copy of his '25 model T/C-cab. it took me 4 days to build the frame and install both F/R axles and bolt the body down. i still need to install the motor, tranny, hook up the brakes (no brake on the front it's a old dragster front axle) and wire it up sorry i did not take any picks of the biuld so far but i will start to take more when i get back at it (after the Hamb drags) i also added some pics of the '36 chevy truck cab that we (Rick & I) started about 3/4 weeks ago. plan on driving it to the drags and running the hell out of it and driving it back along with my '28 A.
some times. we also have started 2 chevy trucks 1 '51 & 1 '53. most of the time it look's like all we do is build old cars & trucks but really this shop builds & restores old land cruisers. stop by some time i work day & nights sunday - tuesday and just Days for the most part wednesday - friday
my wifes c-cab will be running a 33" tire and not a off road tire. as for my A i will be running the TSL's at the drags don't know if i will run them on the track but i mite make a few runs with them they do hook up really nice but with that much mass it does brake shit. i will be bring a set of rims and tires to run on the track. as for the truck cab he will be driving up on a set of 33" or 35" offroad tire and then putting on the race tires for the track. so look out for the offroad hot rods on the streets. see you there. oh T-man i think crow mite be staying out at the track with you & he is riding his XR650L (i think) to the drags so we really will look like a group of thugs.
Looking good. As soon as all the out of towners leave my house, I will stop by and give ya a hand or BS. Whatever.
that's cool i was wondering where you were havent herd from ya in some time. you need to stop by. Crow if you see this you need to pick up that jeep body ASAP landlord is coming down on us for having a lot of old cars here.
