Kind of leave it looking the way it does, and just add a basic sbc or sbf probally

If your gonna make it a sbc, make it a 265 or 283 that would have been in a 57, try to keep that, dare I say, "theme" to it.

Good luck and keep us posted.

why would you worry about having a 283 or 265 to most people it will look just the same as a 350 or 305 and the later two are alot more common.

Fer chrissakes, either put an inline-six in there or shorten that frame up by nearly a foot.

    Hey Shawn,
Looks nice, where are you coming up with this stuff. How about hooking up a local brother with your supplier. Saw your shop door open yesterday started to stop but it was too cold.

I vote for an inline 6, and I also love the idea of the headlight buckets with the '57 headlight bezels...I know someone who can get you a pair of '57 headlight bezels if you'd like some, he's got a bunch of them laying around...and he might even have a few rear bumper parts to finish off that back end...it'd be way cool if you stick with the '57 theme and do this car up nice...

  23. bitchin!! i agree withnthe other guys, stick with the 57 chevy theme

I like the car... definitely too long of a frame for that bodystyle.
57 themed is the way to go. Engines??? I think the idea of trying to stick with a more traditional engine is what we are all about aren't we? I know I get really tired at looking at newer small blocks in old cars. Good project!

I have a four door 57 donor car I may use for some parts, inrow 6 included. I thought about even cutting the dash down to fit in the car, and putting 57 trim back on the sides. I gave myself one hell of a headache last night coming up with different ideas. Thanks for all the ideas and comments, keep them coming.
