yup, 50 years stationary takes its toll on everything that has fluids in it... give me a couple weeks to get her going...working on it as we speak
Ah, that's it Scotty's. I told my wife that is Moriarity's kitchen since the one at home probably has mowers and zingers in it.
You must have a fridge for cold beer and other drinks out in the shop or somewhere. It’s hard to imagine that someone even a single man would live in a house without ever having coffee or breakfast or having at least some food in the kitchen. A totally unused kitchen is somewhat odd I’m thinking.
I'm speechless. Showed the kitchen pictures to the wife... she's speechless. Confidentially, I think your priorities are spot on.
Spare tire placement is amazing! 'Space from heaven?' Who'da thought? 'Floating spare'. That is a brilliant execution. Simply adore this truck. Always have. When this one was shown, 'cool' was replacing the classic, "Real George!" Truly: Bonaroo and George.
That didn't take long at all. Runs very nicely. I really enjoy the pictures of your cars and of your kitchen, Thank you for sharing. The lawn mower was the best. May I ask: is your snow blower set up like a jr. fuel car?
still waiting for a water pump and a fuel pump. just couldn't resist filling the float bowl on the ctr carb just to hear it
Swapped the model T wheel for a superior. The T wheel was so low that I couldn’t get my foot high enough to reach the brake pedal
So you got it running and driving in the last 2 months. Have you put some miles on it? Curious, what did you do about the crud in the fuel tank? Sent from the red phone
I descaled the inside of the tank with nuts and bolts and long chains inside. with a strong mixture of simple green. I made a jig to hold the tank and spin it. It came pretty clean inside after lots of shaking and spinning and lots of rinsing with hot water followed by alcohol to help dry it... I will run a few extra inline filters for a while and see how it goes
I'm a little behind can't get on the HAMB as much as I would like to. Congratulations on finding and purchasing the truck! Getting it running and back on the road so quickly is outstanding! The old Olds sounds great! What a cool ole custom truck, couldn't have found a better home and caretaker! Joe Sent from my XT1710-02 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
