I'm building a 48 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup. It's my second rod. I also have a 34 chevy 3 window coupe that I built a few years back. I'm currently putting a 1959 235 in the truck to get her so I can at least drive her around a little. I have plans to put a dropped axle in the front and give her a nice suede paint job until funds allow me to lay down something with a little shine to it.
Thanks guys. Here's a pic. Note the lack of "shine". The red primer (as opposed to black) is starting to grow on me more and more. I just dropped a 235 in her over the weekend that I picked up for $300. The other motor had a cracked head. A few more things to go before I can fire her up. Eventually, I'd like to get a small block for it but I'm getting married this year and that's taking up most of my cash.
