Then it could also match my 51 Ford with different wheelcovers on each side.

 

Sorry man, that white truck needs the black wall tires, there is already way too much going on there.

I have also heard of the BFG white letter tires turning brown, and being very hard to keep the letters white.
In my book, that would be 2 strikes, but you know what the value of opinions are.

 

Last set of white letter tires I put on my c10 were Mastercraft “Avenger G/T”. They have a nice size letter, were a bit less money than the BFG’s, and I didn’t have problems with the letters turning brown like the BFG’s did. Also as much as I like Cooper tires I couldn’t bring myself to put anything that says “Cobra” on my Chevy truck..

 

Well, I ordered some BFG’s right or wrong. I did some reading and seems that maybe the brown letters were limited to a batch a few years back. I guess I’ll find out. Anyway, also back working on it this evening finally. Got the intake back on and working on ****oning things up to where I can make the thing run. At least now I have more faith that the intake won’t leak.

 

I ***ume this is the model A deal. I haven’t watched it yet.

In the early 2000's I did one of those Square Body TBI's for my Father in Law. Same year as yours, but a Suburban.

You spent way more time detailing things than I am. I honestly wish that the previous owner would have at least washed out the engine compartment during the motor swap. But, I am also just trying to keep focused on this just being a daily driver that I never plan to open the hood on other than for very infrequent maintenance or repairs.

 

Yeah, he wanted me to build something he could take to the cruises/ shows & be able to open the hood. I ended up rebuilding this engine, painting the truck, etc, etc. Every time I would not want to make something better on it, I would get the "Stink Eye" from my then Wife. I got that stink eye a lot back then, so I no longer have that Wife!

Honestly I posted that picture just in case you were scratching your head on a placement of something. I often find myself looking at old pictures for info since I build so many different makes.

I watched it last night. Looks like "Oklahoma Speed and Custom" Charlie actually bought the vintage Ford stuff.

That place was sketch! What an adventure.

 

That is honestly helpful. These are the two brackets I am missing for my A/C compressor. I need to go to a buddy of mine's salvage and see if he has them. At minimum, I need to go get a one piece rear window from him. I'm not a fan of the slider and he thinks he has a couple.

 

Yea, as mentioned, pretty sure I wasn't meant to have to deal with all of it. I didn't watch the whole video, but the "phantom bids" mentioned were because there were two different folks trying to sell the stuff. Before the fire, there was a lady that had an agreement to sell everything. After the fire, the demolition guy talked the owners into that and ultimately got the contract. So, that knocked me out of the deal. Pretty sure the price paid for all the old stuff was the same as what I had offered which was a decent price but also required a lot of work as seen in the video.
