Non channeled the rear tire is even with the top of the wheel well on a sedan. I just did a shipping qoute to Los Angeles, $170.00 to the shipping terminal in Pico rivera?
That is purdy. As I am Model A illiterate, is 106" the stock wheelbase? IE, can you fit this frame under a coupe body, as opposed to a roadster? If so, I'm seeing a re-creation of the "Sabres Doorstop" in the future... Excellent work. Jay
106" is stock for a 1932 Ford .Model A 103"?. Adding length between the firewall and front crossmember. So a SBC fits better, won't need a huge recessed firewall. After the drags I'm putting one together with a 30 coupe so everyone can see the stance and fitment. It will sit low but have travel and ground clearence.
Trying to get the coupe up on wheels so people can see the stance. (will be done after the pile up for sure) Wanted to show how I fit the frame up front. I drilled the rivits out on the toe board brace. Cut up 4 1/4" vertical just to the inside of the rivit.(on firewall) (30-31) Then cut back towards the last rivit hole from the removed toeboard brace. After the body is set down, the toeboard brace can go back in. (look at pictures,my desriptions not that good) See on a unchanneled car,you lose no floor space. Stay tuned...
Here is a 7.00x16 sitting next to the coupe. The rear of the frame is at ride height. 2.5" of travel.. This is not channeled, sitting on frame. The front of the frame is sitting way high in the pictures. I'm figuring it will have 2" of rake.. The whole back half inside was missing... getting it all level and square.. Note the rear Z is all inside the trunk area.
If there is any benefit to getting a stack of them here (maybe like 6 or 8 stacked on a trailer) I can house them at me place for future sales- I think these will sell as fast as you can make them!!! Let me know, Jim
