I was wondering if there was anywhere to buy new ends for my Model A wishbones. If so are they rediculously priced? The tubes are in good shape but the ends are pretty thin. Any info would be helpful

You say that the ends are thin, are they rusty? The first model A cars had an AR designation and had alot of limited production parts. The AR wishbones were real thin and flimsy at the axle mount and are sort of a collectors item. If they are rusty, a nicer pair can be had on the cheap if you just look, say 30 - 60 bucks. No one i know of makes or sells the ends by themselves.

They are rusty and pitted and they also got tweaked getting the axle apart. I am talking about the axle side.

I have made dropped ends for tie rod clearance. I cut plate in a S shape. I turned new parts that the perches go thru. Welded it all up and have been happy with it. It all looks Ford but sure isn't. If I can find a pic I will post it.

Some pics would be great. I have been trying to come up with a way to fab something that would work. Thanks.

These are Industrial Metal Craft's stainless steel bones with the steer through option. He also has stock style and unsplit ones. So-Cal Las Vegas has them in stock.

Similar question: I have a set of 40 bones that I plan on running, but the fit with the axle and perches is pretty sloppy. Are there shims availible? Can I ream them out and weld in inserts?

Socal axle, pete and jakes everything else.

    Thanks...

Here is a pic of the offset bones on my roadster. The bones are A and the ends fabed. The other pic is of a set I am building that are good enough to chrome.
