    We had a great time even though our pit spot was under water. Lots of great people and good times. Not real happy with NHRA trying to gouge us. We drove 1,050 miles return trip. It was almost $600 for fuel and $90 for tolls. It cost $165 for my son and I to enter. When we got there the NHRA wanted $60 extra to sleep in the trailer with our race car and $50 to use our own golf cart to tow the race car. If they want to screw up the next reunion they're doing a good job.

    I agree with Ardyboy the show is the race cars that showed up trying to get more cash from the racers will kill the event. It always amazes me the guys who make the show the car owners pay more than the spectators. Sure there's liability insurance and many other costs involved but in the end without the racers there would be no show.
    We had a golf cart they asked do you have insurance on that. Come on the pits are loaded with race cars driving around and all types of other stuff liability on a cart good grief!

    John,
    That's just crazy. Friends that were with us had a golf cart and they never said a word to them.

    you where either to have a paper from your insurance company stating coverage or pay the 50.00......I paid the fifty because I didnt want to deal with the hassle of calling my agent and finding a place to fax a paper to...... Had to do this before they would give you the permit sticker for our cart which we needed for tow......Id say your freind dodged a bullet on one.....

    My understanding was if you had proof of insurance, it was $10. No proof was $50.00. This is a yearly fee, not a one time deal.

  8. JR;
    Sounds like you had a great event...
    I have said for many years that the "bottom Feeders"' are what supports ALL these race programs..Unless your book in as a group (gasser, F/C etc)..you don't get cut any slack at the gates..

    Racing is the only game where the "monkees PAY to play at the Zoo",and don't take that the wrong way.

    Truthfully with out us Bottom feeders, there would be NO events..JMHO,and that and a 1.50 might buy a coffee.

    Did anyone get video of Bruce Larson pulling all 4 wheel off the ground in the 1st match against the Frantic Ford?

    I was watching the Ford since it was getting real close to the wall and I missed Larson.

    Attended the inaugural NHRA New England Hot Rod Reunion in Epping New Hampshire on Friday September 13. Lots of photos of the pits are viewable at the following link:

    Album is still in progress; I'll post captions and photos of the car show as time allows. Lots of torrential rain in the area on Thursday and Friday and as a result of my timing only a couple photos of track action taken between rain delays; in the meantime have fun identifying old cars and heros.

    Owner of Blown Hell said it's a tribute car; he sounded like he was from Oz.

    Wow! '76 Winternats comp elim winner, former Panella car. Amazing that this car has survived intact.

    Steve Tanzella’s 56 vs the FAST 55. Steve ran a 10.01 on a 10.00 dial in, and still lost to the 55.

    What year was the white Corvette running and the Black primer gasser chevy against the blue FAST 55 pictured above?
