Hey guys. I have been to some really cool car events in the past few years. The Led Sled Spectacular in Kansas, Bo Huff's in Utah, Streamline hotrod parts in Denver, Viva Las Vegas, and the Albuquerque Rumblers show to name a few. I decided to try my hand at an event this year. I am calling it the Hotrod Ho-Down and it will be in Colorado Springs on August 12th. I would like to invite anyone who is interested to check out the website at http://www.hotrodhodown.com Since we put this thing together I discovered another event in PA with the same name. I have been in contact with the organizers from that show and they are cool with us using the same name. Putting on an event aint easy! If you have put on car shows and have some advice, please pass it on so next year I will have a better plan. Herbie

i'm sure one of my heaps will be parked nearby, for a while at least. i need to get home and get one DONE so i can spend the day sitting around!
Yeah organizing this event has been one hell of a task! Next year will be much easier now that I know what to kind of expect. I am just bored to death will all of the normal car shows with no entertainment. There's only so much sitting in my lawn chair behind the Olds I can do.
Herbie...sorry to say I will not make this one...had I known about it earlier, I would be...suffice to say, the rad '57 won one of the TOP 3 awards in Indianola, NE last year and we are going back at their inviatation...can't pass that up right...??? Maybe next year... R-
Were you the one handing out flyers for that show at Streamline? I recall something about a show that day in the Springs but my dad through away the flyer. If its the same show, I plan on heading down with my striping stuff if thats alright.
I was one of three guys handing out flyers at Streamline. No problem on the striping. You can use my car to get some jobs if ya feel like it. I have some stripe that is chipping away pretty bad. Are you the guy I met at Bo's in Utah? Spread the word up in the mile high for us. The show is going to be a killer party! Jump on the website and print up a flyer. Herbie
Hey Travis. I totally missed your post. I wish you could get up to the Springs for the show. The car scene in this city is out of control these days. I don't know where all of these cars came from but there are some really hot new rides around here this year. Herbie
funny you should ask, i was just talking to herbie saturday at the local cruise. plans are being made for this year, i didn't catch a date from herbie though, but it's happening. so consider this a bump for one of the club guys to see this and fill you in...
I will be there with one or two hot rods. Just please send out reminders a few weeks in adavnce, because I will forget by then. Tex
My ol' ladie's band "Whiskey Throttle" will be playing out there also, so ya'll better show up! Should be a good time!
