  1. By my calculations, 17% of HAMBers don't mind alienating the rest, so it should work out fine.

I say this board about history and tradition needs to get with the modern age!

I didn't read all the posts, but I wonder how many of the 16-17% are regular active users. Is there a way to determine that? It might end up being only 6-10% of active users. I know lots of people have either left for good or don't post just by browsing the member list. Just a thought. I'm good, whole arrow! :D

I've been at 1600 X 1200 for several years now. Plenty of room left here.

I'm walking a fine line. I'd guess that a fair number of the 17% are not active members, and at least Kiwi Kev has gotten his resolution reset as will a lot of other folk. 1024x768 is a nice screen size resolution for most. I want it all, and I want it pretty. Pass the pixels please!

I say go for it. People are still going to use this site, even if they have to scroll a little bit.

thanks for the feedback fellas... I am going to stick with 800 x 600 till I get that percentage a little lower. That said, I am moving foward with feature development and have figured a way to make the new one work on a smaller format.

As for flexible design widths, I won't ever do that kind of design... Just not my thing...
