Well I am off work on short term disablity and spent a few days in the hospital with pneumonia, but remembered snapping these photos back around Thanksgiving. Sorry for some of the exposures, the camera was giving me problems. Enjoy!
George told me a couple of years ago the mueseum wanted his Willy's to be on display for a couple of years. I think they pay some high $'s for him to loan it to them. George is still short, round and plump but seems to be in good health. Still works every day in his shop with his son. They build race engines for the Indy Lite Car Series.
Is the GoldenRod streamliner salt car still residing next to the slingshot and Willys? Man what an awesome piece of history. Out of everything at the museum it kept me coming back to it as though it was a magnet.
. They build race engines for the Indy Lite Car Series.[/quote] Must have been awhile since you were there. The Indy Lite series has been gone for awhile now. I worked for the company that made the magnesium wheels for that series and it's been a few years since they have cast any. Frank
