How many companies are now making these and which is the best? Are the new hollow lifters better than the new solid adjustable lifters? I am 15 years old and my dad and I are just now getting started on a 1930 Tudor that will have a flathead v8. I am sure we are going to have many questions.

I just bought a set from Flathead Jack that are the hollow type.. I don't recommend them! I think they are made offshore and the heads on the adjustable nuts are soft. So soft, that they are almost impossible to adjust. The nut heads are also tapered slightly so the wrench will round them off immediately. I just ordered a new set from Speedway; they aren't hollow, but I'll bet they they are made of good material.. I should have known better... most of FHJ's products are repackaged junk... and so is his advise.
