This came into our lives yesterday. The garage is officially at maximum capacity, but in the best of ways. No plans other than to slide it from the 70s back to the very early 60s. In the mean time the wife, kids and I will be cruising until the weather turns or the wheels fall off. :)

Oooh, nice! I've always loved that color combo.

  7. What all needs dialed back time wise? Looks like main thing is the wheels. Very good looking car

The wheels for sure. I’d like to drop it a bit in the front. That’s about what I can think of for the moment.

  9. Id do wheels first and go from there in ride height. Looks like it sits nice

It was my Dads (who will be 85 in December and is going strong). It’s very close to one he had in his 20’s.
Best shot I have of that one is from a home video:

  11. Looks like the current one has better panel gaps

    I hear ya, that's a real peach of a 57.
My second car in high school was a BelAir 2 door hardtop, I put it in the ditch, (told my mom it wasn't my fault because it was snowing), found a wrecked copper/white wagon with perfect front sheetmetal, really considered painting the car that combo but I had been seeing an elderly woman driving a yellow/white BelAir around town and was quite smitten with it.
Cory Taulberts' 57 rekindled this memory, curious what @Rehpotsirhcj does with his.

I’ve spent most of my time thinking about model As, I’ll need to school up on traditional tri-fives. Man I’m looking forward to it, and the HAMB is the perfect place to do it!

Man, thats cool! Love the pipes, reminds me of the Superspeed Matchbox 57s I had as a kid. Whose build is/was that?

I’m also thinking 3 Strombergs would look much better than the giant 4 barrel on it now.

I have a soft spot for '57's. Dad had 3, brother had 1 & I had 2. All at different times. Awesome it was your Dad's and now you have it! Congratulations!
